Split PDF – Split by Page Range or Extract the Pages You Need

A free tool that splits a PDF by page range or extracts only the pages you need. You work with page thumbnails, and the PDFs you create can be downloaded together as a ZIP. Pages are copied as they are, so quality doesn’t change.

Your files are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to a server.

How to split a PDF

  1. 1Tap “Select PDF file”, or drag and drop a PDF.
  2. 2Choose a split method: split by page ranges, select pages to extract, or split every page.
  3. 3Enter page ranges, or tap thumbnails to select pages.
  4. 4Download each PDF, or tap “Download all as ZIP”.

Three ways to split

Choose the method that fits what you need.

Split by page ranges

Enter ranges like “1-3, 4-6, 7-” to create a separate PDF for each range. “7-” means from page 7 to the end. Full-width numbers and Japanese commas are read correctly too.

Select pages to extract

Tap thumbnails to select pages and combine them into one PDF. Handy when you only want to send part of a document.

Split every page

Turns every page into its own PDF. File names include the page number, so the order stays clear.

When splitting helps

  • Share only the pages you’re responsible for
  • Separate a batch scan into one file per document
  • Meet applications that ask for each document as a separate file
  • Split a file that’s too large to submit as one

Quality stays the same

The new PDFs are made by copying pages from the original as they are, with no image re-compression. Quality doesn’t change, and text can still be selected and searched.

Your files are never uploaded

Your PDF isn’t uploaded to a server; it’s split in your browser. Confidential documents are safe to use.

Easy to use on a phone

You can tap thumbnails to select pages, so it works well on iPhone and Android. Several PDFs can be saved together as a ZIP. If you can’t open ZIP files, download them one at a time.

Q. Is it free?

A. Yes. It’s free with no usage limits, and no watermark is added.

Q. Can I combine selected pages into one PDF?

A. Yes. Choose “Select pages to extract” and tap thumbnails to choose pages.

Q. Does splitting lower the quality?

Q. Can I save all the split files at once?

Q. What happens if I enter the same range twice?

A. Two PDFs with the same pages are created, and their file names get numbers to tell them apart.

A. No. It’s processed in your browser and never sent to a server.

Q. Does it work on a smartphone?

A. Yes. You can tap thumbnails to select pages.

Q. Do I need to sign up?
