When you need to merge PDFs
Many applications ask you to submit your documents as a single PDF. Merging helps when you need to:
- Combine your résumé and work history for a job application
- Put transcripts and recommendation letters together for a university application
- Organize tax documents you scanned one at a time
- Send a quote, invoice and delivery note to a client as one file
- Turn several handouts into one set of meeting materials
Features
- Each file shows a preview of its first page and its page count, so you can tell them apart at a glance
- Press and hold (or drag on a computer) to reorder files freely
- Choose which pages to take from each file (e.g. 1-3, 5)
- Remove any file with “×”
- Pages are copied as they are, so quality doesn’t change and text stays selectable and searchable
- Preview the merged PDF before downloading
If a file can’t be merged
Password-protected PDFs, PDFs with editing restrictions and damaged PDFs can’t be merged. The tool shows the file name and the reason when you add it, and you can still merge the other files.
After merging
Combine it with other tools to fine-tune the page order or remove pages you don’t need. If merging photo-heavy or scanned PDFs made the file large, compress it before submitting.
Your files are never uploaded
Your PDFs aren’t uploaded to a server; they’re merged in your browser. Contracts and documents with personal information are never sent anywhere.
Using it on a phone
You can merge PDFs in iPhone and Android browsers too. Press and hold a file, then drag to change the order. For many large files, a computer is more comfortable.
